The Lucky Crow Story

The idea for Lucky Crow was hatched after a minimalist wilderness trip by Kristen Ragain of Seattle, WA. On returning, she witnessed her extended family’s Chistmas celebration and was troubled by the vast amount of discarded wrapping materials. Why can’t we reuse it? After much thought, she came up with the idea of the reusable gift bag and launched Lucky Crow Gift Bags in 2005.

Green Approach LLC, based in Portland, OR, bought Lucky Crow Gift Bags on June 3, 2007. Green Approach is an ecologically-minded company headed by Ian Mahaney and is focused on two product lines, the Lucky Crow line of fabric gift bags and an environmentally friendly mix of office products such as 100% post-consumer waste paper and energy-efficient computer components.
